Pale-medium yellow. The nose shows riper yellow fruits than those of the basic village Meursault, along with a soupçon of honey. In a fatter, sweeter style but this very concentrated wine displays lovely leesy complexity and floral lift. The yield here was just 22 hectoliters per hectare, as this parcel was hit by the hailstorm in late June. (ST) - VM

The 2014 vintage of Désirée had been racked prior to the harvest of 2015 and was showing very nicely at the time of my visit. The bright and nascently complex nose offers up scents of apple, a touch of tangerine, fresh almond, a nice base of soil and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, pure and bouncy, with a good, solid core, fine nascent complexity and a long, vibrant and wide open finish. This will really be a charming bottle right out of the blocks. - JG
